Purpose of the function
The LS will be fully responsible for the good functioning of the Middle-East HUB in UAE (Dubai) He/She will be located in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai .
He/ She reports to the Logistics Manager.
He / She will manage :
? Daily operations for assigned goods while maintaining established benchmarks and department goals
His/her main KPI?s will be focussed on optimising operating cost and maximising delivered quality to the final customers.
Specialist function
The position of LS poses the following requirements regarding know-how, expertise and skills:
? Bachelor degree in Business administration or Logistics .
? At least 5 years experience in a logistics environment .
? Fluent in English . Arabic is a plus.
? Strong knowledge of transport requirements and import/export procedures in Free Zones is a ?must ?.
? Negotiation skills. Being able to constantly negotiate freight rates with our logistics partners.
? Knowledge of the ISO 9000 requirements.
? Conversant with Microsoft Office tools, and ERP systems.
Key tasks
? To organise and manage all aspects and details of the administration processes ( billing, stock adjustments, credit notes, customs clearance ?. )
? To establish lowest cost carrier to be used
? Dealing with no-routine enquiries for complex service request
? To arrange, track and monitor shipments from our facility to the customers.
Skills
? Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
? Ability to work independently.
? Excellent organizational skills
? Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal team members, logistics partners, vendors
